Dan and Judy Wymer
Dan grew up on Bainbridge Island, Washington where he put his faith in Christ as his personal savior during grade school. From that time on he came to know the joy a certain eternity.
Living in the home of Bainbridge First Baptist church’s Pastor, his dad, Ken Wymer, prepared Dan for what would become his life’s passion, the ministry.
After graduating High School, Dan drove down I-5 to Western Baptist Bible College where he received a Bachelor of Science degree. While there, he met his wife-to-be, Judy Mose. Judy was raised near Redding, California and came to know the Lord when she was 15 years old. They were married in 1972 and have three sons and six grandchildren.
Pastor Wymer brought 26 years of Pastoral service to the third church of his ministry, First Baptist, where he has served since September of 2002.
Since the first church Dan pastured was a new start-up, he worked in the grocery business. Dan eventually spent 26 years “stacking cans’ and meeting people. Dan also spent several years on a home missions board and has had an interest in churches coming to life.
Dan and Judy have a special burden and delight for the inclusion and mixture of all ages in church life. Judy has been blessed with a job in medical records at Messenger House Care Center on Bainbridge Island. Her schedule is flexible and enables her to work side-by-side with Dan in the work of the ministry.
