MINISTRIES

Children's Ministry

BFBC Kids ministry provides a safe, loving, godly atmosphere for every child. They will feel loved and valued by every worker. Children were very important to the Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus teaches us in Matthew 19:13-14 that children are not to be held back from Him.

"Then were there brought unto Him little children, that he should put his hands on them, and pray: and the disciples rebuked them. But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of Heaven."

There is a Sunday School class for all ages at Bainbridge First Baptist Church. Here, children are taught Bible stories as well as the basics of Bible knowledge and spiritual growth. Sunday School begins at 9:45 on Sunday mornings.

On Wednesday we have BFBC Kids which is a special time for a Bible lesson and Scripture memory club with the opportunity to not only learn the verse but to apply it to their lives. The Bible lesson is followed by activities, games, and a snack. Come join us Wednesday Nights at 7:00 p.m.

We also have special events all throughout the year for our BFBC Kids Ministry, Including a great week long VBS every July.

Youth Ministry

"Let no man despise thy youth, but be thou an example of the believers."

~ 1 Tim 4:12

Bainbridge First Baptist student ministry is designed to help middle school and high school students grow their faith, their character, and their relationships. It’s about creating an atmosphere that is Christ-focused where they can belong. We encourage our youth to be involved in everything we do from inviting, participating in activities, and serving. Our youth outings are usually family-oriented.

Couples

Marriage is the cornerstone of our society. You will find it emphasized here at First Baptist. Anniversaries are applauded, new babies loved, and family milestones highlighted. We purposely don’t over schedule so families may be together. From time to time we have marriage enrichment classes and couples-only events. It is important for young couples or newly married to know God’s plan of conduct for their marriage. Healthy families make a healthy church.

Women's Ministry

Women's Bible Studies

Women’s Bible Studies are one part of what is offered to women at First Baptist. The Bible encourages us to teach, encourage, and assist the women who attend. We realize women know women’s needs so ladies teach the Bible studies. The ladies of the church encourage one another in a variety of formal and informal settings. We refuse to let society redefine what God has already determined for women.

We also have our Lydians meeting. This is our woman’s group that meets once a month for a bible study, devotionals, and to discuss our support for our missionaries.

Lydians

Engaged in joyful service | Embraced with God’s grace | Edified through fellowship

The woman of Bainbridge First Baptist meet on the second Monday of each month. It is a special time of planning, fellowship and enrichment. Our focus is to discuss, support and pray for our missionaries. It is a time of learning, building friendships, and praising God.

We meet from 7:00pm to 9:30pm September through May (location varies).

"Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness." ~ Isaiah 41:10

Men's Ministry

The men of First Baptist work together on church projects, study together (intermittent Bible Studies), and fellowship at various events throughout the year. Much of the teaching our men receive reminds them they were created by God to live according to His commands in relation to the people in their lives. The men of First Baptist know their priorities: God, Family, Church.

Senior Saints

"With the ancient is wisdom; and in length of days understanding."

~ Job 12:12

The seniors (60 & up) of our church know they are valued and included in church activities in which they are able to participate. Activity helps keep the elderly thinking and doing so they are encouraged to participate in cross-generational activities as long as possible.

When age and health limits participation in church activities we actively seek to keep the link alive through cards and home visits. Seniors visit and find a friendly welcome.

Missions

Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
~ Matthew 28:18-20

The Goal of Missions at Bainbridge First Baptist is:

Out of obedience to Christ and through the empowerment of the Holy Spirit to reach the lost both locally and internationally with the gospel, and to make disciples through the faithful teaching of the Word of God.
